The joining of old methods with new modern technology.
The Rojac family has been on Gozona since the 17th century.
As of 2002 when the brand Savrin was abolished, the winery has been called Rojac and as of 2005 it is led by Uros Rojac who took over the vineyard after his father. He is a talented young man who places much emphasis on the experience of his predecessors in trying to balance old methods with new enology.
The vineyards start at 120 meters where white types are planted and stretch from terrace to terrace up to 240 meters above sea level where the red variety fares well.
Wine is aged mainly in new barrels of the barrique type from French or Slovenian oak for 3 to 36 months.
